A Brief History:
One Club for All Sports
Origin
In January 1977, the Spencerport Sports Booster Club (SSBC) was formed and chartered. The organization began as an active parents association within the Spencerport Central School District. The interest of its membership includes all sports.
Today
The SSBC continues to be very active. Hundreds of people contribute thousands of volunteer hours through working at concession stands for the many sports supported by the SSBC, serving as a board member or officer of the club, making phone calls soliciting volunteer workers, helping with fundraisers for the Booster Club and other volunteer organizations within the school and community; and through this endeavor, we over the past 30 years have purchased many items for the student-athletes in the Spencerport Central School District.
Thank you
Our thanks go to all who have worked and volunteered for the Booster Club. You can be proud! The SSBC’s hard work has helped to keep your school taxes down by purchasing items for sport programs which would otherwise be purchased through tax dollars. These items are solicited from varsity coaches through a yearly “wish list”.
Spencerport Sports Booster Club (SSBC)!
The SSBC needs YOU! SSBC is the club that supports all sport teams through concessions and fundraising. Thank you to all our members - especially those who have helped with the concessions this past year! We could not be successful without your help! Please fill out and return our membership form if you are not already a member! It is expected that all parents of a Ranger student-athlete join the SSBC.
Meetings
Monthly meetings for the Booster Club will be held on the first Monday of each month in the District Office Building, Room 15, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The dates are on the District calendar on this website. You may contact one of the officers to confirm meeting dates. All Booster Club members are welcome!
Activities
The SSBC is responsible for concessions during each sport season. In the fall, we host boys and girls soccer games on the turf field at Ranger stadium. In addition, concessions are set up at our home varsity, JV and modified football games in our concession stand at the HS stadium as well as boys and girls volleyball games in the HS East cafeteria and girls swim meets. Concessions are also run during special events. SSBC is sometimes fortunate to host some sectional soccer and lacrosse games. These games can be HUGE successes for our concession stand. SSBC appreciates any member who finds time to help at these sectional events!
During the winter season we open concessions for boys and girls basketball, boys swimming and wrestling. Our indoor concession stand is located in the East Cafeteria. In the spring, we run concessions for boys and girls track meets and boys and girls lacrosse. We are happy to open concessions for other events. Feel free to contact a board member for information and assistance.
The SSBC sponsors pizza parties at the end of each modified teams’ season and supports various teams through advertisements in programs.
Fundraising
We also have other ongoing fundraisers throughout the year – fall dinner (Varsity and JV).

Volunteers Needed

Each Modified A and JV student-athlete parent is expected to work on concessions at one varsity game and each varsity parent is expected to work one JV game.
Please consider joining our club by filling out a membership form - linked below - which you can download and print, and by attending a monthly meeting, helping with a fundraiser, or assisting at the concession stands. We are always open to new ideas and help.
Please come and join us. With your help we can make a difference for our student-athletes! Call one of the officers for information.
